In 1975, the Carnegie Mellon departments of English and History, in the Dietrich College of Humanities and Social Sciences, began a three-summers’ program to enhance the training of two-year college faculties in those disciplines. This program was called the Special Summer Program for Teachers in English and History in Two-Year colleges. At the conclusion of the three summers, participants received a Certificate of Specialization in the Teaching of English [or History] in the Two-Year College. Reynolds was a graduate of the program in 1981. This collection includes informational and promotional brochures related the program, course syllabi, Reynold's class notes, correspondence, and reunion materials.
